Motorized cable reels
Motorized cable reels by transprotec are used for automatic reeling of flexible energy and control lines for energy supply (electrical current) and/or data transfer for moving equipment.
 The motorized cable reels are available with spiral or cylindrical winding. Depending on the application and the available space, reels with two different types of drives are available. Reels can be supplied either with torque motors, for example for use in steelworks, or with a magnetic clutch for medium to high winding speeds.
Horizontal or vertical cable haul-off is possible. The appropriate cable depends on the number of poles of the slip ring body and the winding characteristics of the cable. If desired, transprotec can supply motorized cable reels with pre-fitted cables.
On request, transprotec can supply reels with special coatings for aggressive conditions. Harsh conditions are e.g. encountered at harbours and in wastewater treatment plants.
